Short-term and Medium-term Trainees

Short term trainees are those who have less than 40 contact hours with an MCH training program. Short term training expands an individual's professional or academic credentials and may (a) lead to the award of a certificate; (b) include internship, practicum, fellowship, or residency activities; or (c) represent an advancement in academic credentials through a course of study.

Medium-term trainees are those who have at least 40 and less than 300 contact hours with an MCH training program. Medium term training expands an individual's professional or academic credentials and may (a) lead to the award of an academic degree i.e. BSN, DDS, MD; or certificate (b) include internship, practicum, fellowship, or residency activities; or (c) represent an advancement in academic credentials through a course of study.
